This is a lot of shoe for the price: superbly crafted with no corner-cutting. The quality stitching is the mark of a good shoe, as is the full leather lining. Most importantly to me, the veal leather shines very, very well, and it doesn't crease much at all (be sure to use cedar shoe trees!). One of my dislikes about calfskin is that, though it's supple, it can crease badly. I have a thing for shoes that keep looking new. So, if you're looking for something a bit nicer or differently styled, be prepared for a price jump. The extra length seems to come from an elongated taper of the cap toe, which looks a bit more elegant than the more ubiquitous blunted cap toe I've seen about.
